AG Mednet and IMEXHS Partner to Eliminate Medical Image Transcription Errors for Clinical Trials

Boston and Bogotá – October 2019 – AG Mednet and IMEXHS have launched a new web-based medical image viewer for the global clinical trial industry, based on an ongoing strategic partnership between the two companies. The viewer enables efficient, remote viewing of medical images, collected and stored by AG Mednet without the need for dedicated remote servers or local code installations.

IMEXHS develops state-of-the-art medical imaging software, providing remote access to diagnostic images from any device. The IMEXHS Hiruko web viewer, already an advanced viewing option for PACS, is now fully integrated into AG Mednet’s Judi // Imaging suite to allow for remote, secure viewing of medical images specifically for clinical trials. Through AG Mednet’s advanced authentication and authorization mechanisms, users of the Judi family of products can use the IMEXHS Hiruko web viewer to analyze medical images in a secure, Part 11 compliant and efficient way, reducing overhead and increasing trial efficiency.

Clinical trial viewing features include the automated exchange of measurement data between Judi’s advanced eCRFs and IMEXHS Hiruko web viewer. This capability eliminates the possibility of errors caused by transcription from one system to another, thus making image evaluations in Judi faster and of higher quality.

“IMEXHS has developed a full-featured and efficient 100 percent web-based viewer with an advanced architecture that perfectly integrates with our Judi products,” said Abraham Gutman, president and CEO of AG Mednet. “The collaboration between our companies represents a unique combination of expertise in medical image viewing technology together with more than a decade of experience in the collection, QC, storage and delivery of images for clinical trials, all managed by AG Mednet’s advanced workflow and query system. This viewer, when combined with Judi Imaging, opens a world of possibilities for clinical trial imaging services.”

“Since our inception in 2012, IMEXHS has steadily developed and deployed our medical image management systems across hundreds of hospitals and imaging centers in Latin America and Australia,” said Dr. German Arango, CEO of IMEXHS. “With this important collaboration, the company is entering the global clinical trial market, making its advanced viewer technology available worldwide through AG Mednet’s expansive user base.”

Judi // Imaging provides the market-leading functionality, support and global footprint necessary to collect clinical trial image data, properly de-identify it to ensure regulatory compliance, apply advanced, automated quality-assurance processes to insure the data is protocol-compliant and readily usable, and deliver it reliably and securely to one or more trial repositories.

The companies are working on additional, trial-specific features to advance medical imaging capabilities for CROs and sponsors conducting clinical trials.
