We sat down with her to talk about her work at AG Mednet, advice she has for someone trying to break into her field of work and her favorite activities outside of work.
What is your role at AG Mednet?
TD: I’m a lead software engineer in service delivery at AG Mednet and I’m responsible for resource management. If there’s a new project, my role is assigning it to the right person and constantly coordinating different projects to make sure we’re achieving our goals. I meet with project managers daily to discuss timelines and how to resolve any challenges that occur. I am involved in daily testing activities and I’m happy to say we are almost always ahead of our timeline! I also help to train new hires.
What advice do you have for someone trying to break into your field of work?
TD: Individuals who want a career in testing should have strong analytical and technical skills, along with great verbal and written communication skills. You need a willingness to learn and have a detail-oriented mindset. People who want to break into this line of work need to really understand the technology that is being tested. If you don’t understand the system you’re working on, you’ll be lost. It also helps to think outside the box and find creative solutions to get things done.
What’s the future of the clinical trial industry?
TD: One of the most challenging and costly processes of the pharmaceutical industry today is clinical trials. At AG Mednet, we are using technology to develop a more user-friendly, efficient and highly customizable software to shape the future of clinical development and transform trial workflows. By taking full advantage of emerging technologies we are significantly improving the outcomes of the clinical trial process.

Also, we have a very supportive management team who encourage us to pursue new challenges and bring new ideas to our work. And in a competitive industry, AG Mednet still allows us to maintain a very healthy work/life balance.
Favorite thing to do outside of work?
TD: I am fond of watching sci-fi and horror movies. Any kind of outdoor and adventurous activities or traveling to new destinations. At home I enjoy cooking – I love trying different dishes. Finally, I spend as much time as possible with friends and family.
